Bremen declaration
The German Association of Surveyors (VDV), the German Society for Geodesy, Geoinformation and Land Management (DVW), the German Society for Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Geoinformation (DGPF), the German Society for Cartography (DGfK), the Germany Hydrographic Society (DHyG), the German Association of Mine Surveyors (DMV) and the German Association of Publicly Appointed Surveyors (BDVI) have committed themselves to closer cooperation in a declaration made at INTERGEO 2008 in Bremen.
Endeavours will be made to ensure better coordination in the specialist work of the association committees, in particular with regard to the further training of association members. Joining forces will result in better representation of the associations’ professional interests to the public and politicians. This cooperation will give a boost to the work of the associations involved and thus directly benefit their members. The DDGI supports the associations’ initiative.
The associations will demonstrate their newfound bond with a group stand at INTERGEO 2009 in Karlsruhe.
